SUPPORT IATSE-PAC

Local 306 was chartered in 1913 as a Local Union of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, founded in 1893.

Local 306 is approaching the date of our IATSE Charter's 100th Anniversary. As we draw closer to that milestone event, look here for our history, the great personalities who built our union into a powerhouse for members and for our employers.

We have weathered many storms and will continue to do so as we are resilient, we are well-trained and skillful, and among us are many leaders who will fill the gap when one of our leaders falters or retires.

Please stop by again and often as changes will be made often.  Thank you for your interest!

LOCAL 306 AND ALL I.A.T.S.E. FIGHT THIS JOB-KILLING CRIME !!

Theft of copyrighted content is the biggest job-killer in our industry.
Whether it is an illicit recording of a theatrical play or downloading a
new movie release on-line, it seriously cuts into the economic reason
the production was made in the first place.  And it is against the law.

The I.A.T.S.E. has recommended two web sites which can link you
to totally legal web sources for movie and TV downloads or viewing.
Your Local 306 officers highly endorse these efforts to KEEP IT LEGAL
and let members download material for their own enjoyment, without
harming the working members of other I.A.T.S.E. Local Unions.

This magazine photograph from 1950 shows an involvement in world events the
Local 306 and IATSE International leaders enjoyed.  As the newly-constructed United Nations Headquarters on New York City soil was taking root, our forebears took on the task of helping the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization--UNESCO.  Check out the photo caption which describes the scene.  The magazine was published as PROJECTION Magazine.

Holiday Time in the 1960s and the Movie Social Club's Entertainment Committee found a way to donate their projection skills, and bring Santa's cheer to youngsters in hospitals.  Sadly, this is a way of life all but disappeared in the projection craft of the 21st Century.
